About HoopOS
Built By Operators. Not A Software Company That Discovered Basketball.
HoopOS is a grassroots basketball operations platform built by people who have actually run these events. Not people who interviewed operators and built what they described. People who staffed the check-in table, ran the bracket, handled the disputes, and spent Monday morning trying to reconcile who paid and who played from a group chat and two spreadsheets that did not agree. That history is in every design decision this platform has made.
The Problem
Here Is What Most Event Weekends Look Like Without The Right Tool.
Registration comes in through a form. Payments come in through Venmo, Zelle, or a payment link that does not connect to anything. Compliance documents get emailed to a shared inbox and dumped in a folder no one can find on event morning. Your check-in list is a spreadsheet that was accurate on Thursday. By Saturday at 7am it is already wrong because three rosters changed and two teams paid after you printed it.
A kid's age verification document never came in. You find out when the opposing coach files a protest mid-game. A coach swears his team paid. Your records say they did not. The proof is in a payment screenshot in someone's texts. You moved three games to keep the day on schedule. Half the coaches never saw the update and show up for the old time.
Monday morning you still cannot cleanly say who was cleared, who paid, who actually played, and what happened on every court. Generating a financial report means opening four tabs and doing math by hand.
None of this is an effort problem. It is a tool problem. You are running a real operation on tools that were not designed for it.
The Origin
We Ran These Events. We Hit Every One Of These Problems.
The team behind HoopOS has operated real grassroots basketball events at every level of this game: local club tournaments, regional showcases, and nationally affiliated circuits with multi-session operations across multiple regions. We have worked the check-in table at 6am. We have reseeded a bracket mid-day because a team no-showed and the tournament director had to make a call in front of forty coaches. We have chased a missing waiver fifteen minutes before tip-off. We have handled ejections with no documentation and disputes with no audit trail to point to.
We tried every tool available. Tournament software that required manual bracket entry and had no compliance layer. Spreadsheets that broke under 40 teams. Registration platforms that sent a payment to one place and a roster to another with no connection between them. Generic sports platforms that had never heard of AAU card verification, NCAA BBCS compliance, or what it means to run a live recruiting period with credentialed college coaches on the sideline.
Nothing was built for this. Not for the operator managing 64 teams, 10 courts, 14 staff, and compliance documents for 800 players simultaneously. Not for the program director who needs to know on Tuesday whether any player's physical expires before next month's showcase. Not for the coach who needs the schedule to update the moment it changes, without a phone call. We built HoopOS because we needed it. We still run real events on it.
How We Build
The Principles Behind The Platform
Built From The Inside Out
HoopOS was not designed by a software team that studied basketball from the outside. It was built by people who have staffed check-in tables, managed bracket disputes, chased compliance documents, and run post-event financial reconciliations. Every module exists because it solved a problem that cost real hours on a real event day.
Operator-First, Always
The person at the center of HoopOS is the event director or program administrator who is on-site managing operations. Features are designed for their reality at 7am on a Saturday, not for a product demo. If it does not make their day faster or less prone to error, it does not ship.
Basketball-Native, Not Adapted
HoopOS does not try to be everything for every sport. The terminology, compliance structures, governing body integrations, and event workflows are all specific to how grassroots basketball actually operates: AAU cards, BBCS certification, pool play and brackets, live recruiting periods, wristbands, credentials. That specificity is the point.
Simple Pricing, No Surprises
Pricing is being finalized ahead of launch. No setup fees, no per-event charges, no per-team add-ons buried in fine print. Early access members lock in a founder rate that stays with them for as long as they are on the platform.
Built For Grassroots Basketball
What HoopOS Is. What It Isn't.
What It Is
- A purpose-built operations platform for grassroots basketball events and programs
- Built by operators who have run events at the local, regional, and nationally affiliated circuit level
- Basketball-native: AAU compliance, governing body modes, Check-In HQ, circuits, college coach credentialing
- Flat monthly pricing with no per-event fees and no per-team charges
- Actively built with feedback from operators using it on real event weekends
What It Isn't
- A generic sports platform with a basketball skin on top
- A public ticketing or fan-facing product
- Built by people who discovered grassroots basketball recently
- Priced to scale against you as your program or event grows
- Software built to demo well rather than to work at 7am on event day
